The World market for Naval vessels and equipment is forecast at more than $200 billion over the next 10 years. This market includes surface combatants, submarines and underwater warfare systems, together with the weapons, sensors and C4I equipment that equip these vessels.

The largest growth market sector is Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs), but there are also many Destroyer, Frigate and Corvette building programmes under way or planned. High value Aircraft Carrier programmes are also progressing in the U.K., U.S.A., Russia, China and India and Submarines are being acquired by an increasing number of navies, especially in Asia.

This sector report includes the future plans of 44 of the world’s navies, many of which will be presenting detailed briefings at IQPC’s eighth annual Future Naval Plans conference in April 2010, in London.
