Given the lack of piracy activity over the past two months, it is perhaps an appropriate time to take stock of the Indian Ocean piracy issue.
As the entire maritime industry, governments and international bodies continue chasing their own tails (with the inevitable consequences), I would like to address the shambles that has become what is laughingly called "Maritime Security."
