Defence iQ's International Dismounted Soldier Conference provides a unique forum where operational experience, emerging technologies, and capability development converge to shape the future of land warfare. This conference is not about predicting the future, it is about preparing for it. The discussions held here will help define how the next generation of soldiers are developed, supported, and enabled to succeed in increasingly complex operating environments.

Alongside programme updates on modernisation initiatives such as the Canadian Modular Assault Rifle Project (CMAR) and operational insights from Exercise HEDGEHOG on the fielding of the Dismounted Soldier System (DSS), this year's conference will examine how land forces are preparing the modern soldier for an increasingly contested, technology-driven battlefield. Through two dedicated streams—The Human Edge and The Transparent Battlefield—delegates will explore human performance optimisation, training and readiness, the challenges of operating under persistent surveillance and emerging threats, and the integration of AI, autonomy, and advanced capabilities into dismounted operations.
