Italian Navy gets $7.8 billion to acquire 10 new ships

The Italian Navy has plans to build 10 new ships over the next decade with an investment of €5.8 billion ($7.8 billion) out of the national budget, Navy chief Adm. Giuseppe De Giorgi told Defense News in an interview.
