244 pirate vessels intercepted off Nigerian coast

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has intercepted 244 vessels thought to have been involved with piracy over the last two years.
Patrick Akpobolokemi, Director-General of NIMASA, said that the vessels were alleged to have been involved in sea robbery, illegal bunkering and other criminal activities in Nigerian maritime domain.
