Canada’s government is facing condemnation from a number of independent think tanks in response to plans for a CAD$7.4 billion investment into new arctic offshore patrol vessels from 2016.
A joint report released by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Rideau Institute have called the developments into question over major concerns that the vessels will not be strong enough to meet the intense demands of the region.
