We are proud to announce that Cluster Marítimo Naval Cádiz will be hosting our attendees at the San Fernando Shipyard on the final day of OPV International 2019.
Participants will be picked up from the Parador de Cádiz and driven to the San Fernando Shipyard where they will hear presentations from the Shipyard Director and host organisations about the current projects, facilities and inner workings of one of Europe’s major shipyards. In addition to this, attendees will be given the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, simulators and a visit aboard one of the newly constructed “Rayo” class OPVs as part of smaller groups that can will take turns to engage in all of the activities on offer.
Following a hosted lunch at Arsenal de la Carraca within the San Fernando Shipyard, attendees will be given the option to continue on to the Rota Naval base and take part in a tour of the new EUNAVFOR Headquarters including an Official Welcome and briefings from senior operational and technical officers. Attendees will be shown around the headquarters of one of the largest and longest running continuous counter-piracy operations in the world from the perspectives of many different parts of the organisation. The remaining attendees will be given the option of returning to the Parador de Cádiz or continuing on to the Airport instead of travelling to Rota.
