First Admiral Maritime Aminuddin bin Haji
Abdul Rashid joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) as Sub-Lieutenant in 1982. During his
tenure, he has also served under the United Nation (UN) in Sierra Leone from
1999 to 2000. After serving the RMN for 24 years, he joined the Malaysian
Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) in 2006.
First Admiral Maritime Aminuddin was among the
pioneer in the setting up of MMEA during 2005 to 2006. He was the Senior Assistant
Director of Technical in the Logistics Department from 2006 to 2007. He was promoted
to Director of Assets and Building from 2007 to 2010 and Director of Transport
from 2010 to 2012. He then assumed the post of District Maritime Director for
Johor Bahru in 2012 and the post of District Maritime Director for Bintulu in 2016.
Subsequently, he was promoted to Director of Engineering in 2017 before
assuming the post of State Maritime Director for Johor from 2018 to present.
First Admiral Maritime Aminuddin holds two
diplomas, one is a Diploma in Strategic Defence from Malaya University (UM) and
the other is Diploma in Sport Science from Selangor University (UNISEL). He is
also equipped with vast experience and knowledge in maritime and management
through courses like Law and Seamanship, Formulation of Efficiency Level
Assessment, Homeland Security Course at the National Defence University,
Washington D.C, U.S.A, and the most recent one the United States Coast Guard
Maritime Crisis Management and Incident Command System Course.
