12:40 PANEL DISCUSSION: FUTURE CHALLENGES OF CAS

The objective of this panel is to debate the future of close air support and the utility of current Western capabilities in the eventuality of future conflicts with near-peer adversaries, notably China and Russia as well as lower-end missions against asymmetric threats such as Daesh.

Discussion points include:

  • How the CAS and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) communities should adapt
  • Leveraging emerging capabilities to meet future operational requirements 2035+
