9:00 INTEGRATING UNMANNED SYSTEMS INTO JOINT COMBAT IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS WORKSHOP: PART ONE

Unmanned systems represent a unique opportunity for Commanders deliver rapid effects to a battlefield and can be far more readily available  than some other, more expensive platforms. The question of how far the technology can be taken, for example when combined with sophisticated AI is one that is up for debate. Furthermore  the ease with which the technology can be used in the kind of challenging future operating environments that many of us are looking towards is also a topic for discussion.

Over the course of this workshop participants will be given the opportunity to take part in interactive, scenario based challenges which will cover the way in which unmanned systems can be effectively deployed to support combat operations in a challenging future operating environment. Congested and degraded battlespaces against a well prepared adversary will form the basis for the workshop and will challenge participants to think outside of the box in order to safely and effectively deploy unmanned systems in support of Joint combat operations.
