General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is offering a carrier-based version of its jet-powered Predator C Avenger unmanned aircraft system. The Sea Avenger will probably compete against the Northrop Grumman X-47B, for the emerging US Navy UCLASS (Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike) requirement. The UCLASS requirement calls for an aircraft to be deployed by fiscal year 2018.
