Professor Caroline Kennedy-Pipe, head of the Centre for Security Studies at Hull University, is currently undertaking a large grant project on IEDs, aside to her key research areas in the effects of combat on women, the ethics of war, Cold War politics, terrorism and Russian foreign policy. In this Defence IQ podcast, she discusses the emphasis on looking at historical and external patterns behind the growth in terrorism and IED use, and reveals where some of this research has led.
