Indonesia’s armoured vehicle modernisation programme
Indonesia is procuring 102 modernised Leopard 2 MBTs, 42 upgraded Marder 1A3 IFVs and 11 armoured recovery vehicles from Rheinmetall in a €216 million ($289.6 million) deal, which includes logistical support.
Deliveries to the Indonesian Army are due to take place between 2014 and 2016, making it the 18thcountry to operate the Leopard 2.
