Col. Christopher Carlile, Director of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center for Excellence, discusses the U.S. Army's 25 year roadmap for UAV/UAS. He speaks about the near, mid, and long-term program developments and upcoming plans for the systems. He also talks about the the potential impact on manned Army aviation and the possibity of expanding missions into new areas such as medivac and transport. Col. Carlile gives his opinions on rapidly advancing computer techonolgy and sensors and the role they may play in the future for U.S. UAVs.
