IBM has won a $16.14m contract from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to provide electronic neuromorphic machine technology including hardware, architecture, simulation, and environment. Most of the work will be undertaken in San Jose, California. Last month it won a $23.69m contract from the U.S. Air Force Research Lab to develop a prototype machine-reading system that builds domain knowledge automatically from input text for the creation of defense department applications...
