Green technology investment puts defence industry on red alert

Last week the Department of Defense announced its plan for cutting energy consumption in military operations with Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta underlining the importance of not only operational energy efficiency, but energy security too.
With the plan, a Defense Operational Energy Board has been created to govern the DoD in its vision for a greener future.
