British Troops Prepare for a Tougher Year with Lack of Armoured Vehicles
British troops in Afghanistan will reportedly be lacking in its provision of armoured vehicles until late 2010, despite plans to send further troops to the frontline.
Brigadier Kevin Abraham, UK MoD’s Head of Joint Capability, said "Vehicles for the force of 8,100 will not all be in theatre until the spring of 2010, and the vehicles for the current force of 9,000 will not be delivered until the end of next year."
