ASCOD2 Recommended for FRES-SV Requirement

According to the Sunday Times, the UK Treasury has insisted that the GDUK ASCOD2 vehicle should be selected as the solution to the FRES-SV light armoured vehicle requirement.
The ASCOD is built in Spain and Austria, but, according to GDUK, the contract, initially for 750 vehicles, had the potential to create or safeguard around 10,500 jobs in the UK through direct involvement and both indirect and direct supply-chain opportunities.
