Additive Manufacturing expected to become ubiquitous in Defence

Defence IQ polled its community of professionals involved in the field of additive manufacturing (AM) to find out what the present and future hold for the applications of this cutting-edge technology within the realms of Aerospace, Defence and Space.

Among the results, we found that in spite of most anticipating that AM will become ubiquitous in these industries within the next ten years, more than a third of stakeholders are unaware of the potential benefits of AM. We also found that there is a greater demand for cross-sector working groups to become involved in certification efforts, and that qualification remains the biggest challenge...
