Hagel wants cyber investment to protect industrial control systems

At an event to mark the retirement of Gen. Keith Alexander, who stepped down from his role as the chief of the U.S. Cyber Command and National Security Agency last week, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel warned that the US must do more to protect its industrial control systems from cyber attack.
In efforts to bolster the Pentagon’s cyber ranks, Hagel revealed the US would be doubling the number of elite cyber security specialists to 4,000 by 2016.
