The US Air Force (USAF), which as an organisation is the single largest consumer of energy in the world, has estimated that every US$1 increase in the price per barrel of oil costs it between US$66 million and US$130 million. This report outlines Fleet Readiness, Research and Development Program (FRR&DP), The Energy Conservation (ENCON) programme and the US Navy (USN) on meeting the challenges of delivering energy supplies to far-flung bases in isolated locations.
