Europe Finalises Requirements for Dismounted Soldier Systems
The European Defence Agency (EDA) is finalising harmonised requirements for the development of a set of combat modules for dismounted soldiers. Carried out at the behest of nine EDA countries, the Common Staff Requirement (CSR) will be ready in early 2010 and handed over to industry for review, with the goal of producing a demonstrator of integrated modules by 2014, followed by initial operating capability by 2015.
