Countering the IED: Training a new generation
Before this year’s pre-conference C-IED Focus Day, we caught up with Robert Shaw, Head of C-IED Training for NATO ISAF. He has worked on the frontline for the British Army for over 20 years as a special forces bomb disposal expert in many of the world's most hostile environments, including several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has been the technical advisor to the Secret Intelligence Service on counter proliferation. More recently, his work is in training others, from Afghanistan to Libya, on this increasingly vital skill.
