Turkey's first indigenous tank set to be unveiled
Turkey’s first indigenous armoured vehicle, known as the Altay, is underway with a prototype of the main battle tank due to be unveiled to the public this summer, according to Turkish daily Today’s Zaman.
The project is a joint venture between Turkish armoured vehicle manufacturer Otokar and South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem. The prototype phase is being funded with a $500 million investment from Turkish defence authorities.
