X-51A WaveRider First Flight Delayed due to Lack of B-52 Carrier

The US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has delayed the first flight of the Boeing X-51A WaveRider to February. The delay has been blamed on the unavailability of the Boeing B-52 launch platform. The Mach 6, hypersonic vehicle completed a captive carry test under the B-52 wing in December. The X-51A was stored on the inboard pylon of the left wing.
