In 1985 upon graduation from the Aviation Secondary School, BG Pilot Krzysztof Cur began his military career as a cadet at the Air Force Academy in Dęblin, Poland where he completed his studies in 1989 receiving a BSc degree and he was commissioned to 2nd Lieutenant.
In 2017 he graduated from the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington D.C. He commenced his military professional career in 1989 as a jet pilot. He was flying on TS11 Iskra and PZL Orlik aircraft and after a few years he became a transport instructor-pilot flying on M28 Bryza and CASA 295M turboprop aircraft. He achieved over 4500 total numbers of flying hours.
During the years of his military career, he was serving among the others as a squadron commander, operational groups commander and chief of training on several combat units.He also served as Chief of Test Pilots Department and Chief of Transport Department at Polish Air Force HQ in Warsaw. From 2014 to 2016 he was commanding the 8th Airlift Base in Cracow, Poland and from July to December 2017 he was serving as a Deputy of Wing Commander in 3rd Airlift Wing in Powidz, Poland.
From January 2018 he was serving as a Vice-Rector for Military Affairs at the Polish Air Force Academy in Dęblin. From 2019 to 2020 he served as a Commander of 3rd Airlift Wing in Powidz.
Since December 2020 he has been serving as a Rector-Commandant of the Polish Air Force University in Dęblin. BG Krzysztof Cur graduated from several specialized courses including: NATO Senior Policy Officer Course in NATO School Oberammergau in Germany and Senior International Defense Management Course in Naval Postgraduate Course in Monterey, U.S.
