Geneva Global Initiative
The Geneva Global Initiative is working to ensure our societies are better placed to respond to the impacts of large-scale systemic risk.
The growing complexity and interdependence of the systems that support everyday life are increasingly vulnerable to the transmission of stresses and shocks, and to the possibility of large-scale systemic failure. The interactions of growing socio-economic and environmental stressors through such systems means we have entered a world where there is an escalating likelihood of more extreme impacts over longer durations. We are at the forefront of driving a comprehensive global response.
The Geneva Global Initiative is working to understand globally integrated systemic risk, and how to operationally apply that knowledge to risk management and preparedness. We are engaging with professionals in governments, multilateral institutions, businesses and academic institutions to encourage deeper and broader engagement with our transforming risk environment.
Operating out of Switzerland, with an international focus, the Geneva Global Initiative is building alliances and networks to better enhance the capacity to develop and scale preparedness and whole society responses.
