Lieutenant General Ayyaz Salim Rana is the Chairman of Heavy Industries Taxila, a major component of Pakistan's Ministry of Defence Production. He talks through the intricate history of Pakistan's armour production: from whole scale foreign purchase in the 1950s and 60s from the UK and the US, to partial rebuilds from China and the Ukraine in the 1980s and 90s.
