The International Armoured Vehicles conference (21 - 24 January 2019) was attended by over 600 delegates, with over 50 nations represented. Over the three days, global senior decision-makers from military and industry discussed ideas, shared insights, and provided answers to the most concerning challenges shaping armoured vehicle doctrine.

Each session over the course of the conference shed light on a strategy, idea, or technology that can help armed forces prepare for tomorrow’s operational environment, such as in-service support and life-cycle management, the balance between protection, firepower and mobility, and the ways in which innovative technologies, such as robotics and AI, are changing the fight as we know it.

During IAV 2019, Defence IQ interviewed speakers and delegates in attendance. Their thoughts and insights on current and future armoured vehicle capabilities are shared in the attached free report.
