Six bids have been submitted to U.S. Army Tacom Life Cycle Management Command for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Joint Light Tactical vehicle (JLTV) programme. The government plans to award up to three EMD contracts in June of this year. Under the EMD phase of the JLTV programme, 22 prototype vehicles and other equipment will be ordered at a cost of $65 million for testing.
