Guarani armoured vehicle programme sparks Brazil defence industry "renaissance"
In 2009 the Brazilian Defence Minister, Nelson Jobim, announced the beginning of a $6 billion contract to supply the Brazilian Army with 2,044 new armoured vehicles.
