Today, huge volumes of data are consumed every minute by a spectrum of military sensors, placing command and control functions in a difficult position. Intelligence must be managed effectively in order to achieve information dominance on the battlefield. Without a clear picture available to all units, lack of clarity creates an environment prone to error.
