Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin, visiting the Ukraine’s National Defense University, said that after the reforms Ukraine would get more compact, agile, better educated and paid Armed Forces.

The Defense Minister noted that the situation with Ukrainian weapons and materiel is different today, contrary to a popular belief.

"Belgium or the Netherlands aircraft have been also produced before 1990, but we consider those countries possessing modern Armed Forces. Thus, with well-balanced economic approach and constant attention to our materiel, we will get a modern army. After reequipment, Ukrainian aircraft will be capable to perform any task of the present," Dmytro Salamatin stressed.
