Ever since Virtual Battle Space-1 (VBS1) came to light, it has been as popular in the military community as Call of Duty across the gaming community. Designed initially for the U.S. Marines, VBS1 was introduced in 2002 (and its successor VBS2 in 2007) and there has been no looking back for the simulated training industry. There are compelling reasons for the industry’s increasing popularity. As the equipment becomes more advanced and sophisticated, so does its complexity, which demands more training for the operators and technicians.
