The latest trends towards ballistic helmets suggest NIJ level III (protection against 7.62mm bullets). However, doubts exist if the same can be achieved. First quesn... in the near future.. can a helmet , weight approx 1.6 to 1.8 Kg be developed with such protection ? Secondly, even if developed , there are some who suggest that a hit from a 7.62 mm bullet will break your neck anyway.What is your take on this?
