Hello I live in Australia and I am looking for some information regarding my great great grandfather. His name was Frederick Owen but I was told that he was possibility a member of the British defense force somewhere between 1850 and 1900. It is possible that he was a member under the name of Frederick Newton ( think that is how he spelt Newton but it could have a different variation of the spelling. I am after this information as I am tracing the family tree. I would be greatfull for any assistance that you may be able to provide. Thank you Sharon
