I am relaying a question for a reader: 'I am interested in gathering more information about the UK's soldier modernisation efforts. I understand that FIST has been cancelled, but what is the British Army looking to do in terms of equipping infantry with advanced equipment and technology? Will they be buying kit on a piecemeal basis? Do they no longer need an integrated system? And why hasn't there been an official announcement about binning FIST? Any thoughts would be most welcome'
