This interview serves up some probing commentary from Mr Douglas Barrie of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, based here in London. Mr Barrie works within the Defence and Military Analysis Programme at IISS – and is the Senior Fellow for Military Aerospace. He has previously served as London bureau chief for Aviation Week & Space Technology, defence aviation editor for Flight International, as well as deputy news editor for Jane’s Defence Weekly. In this interview, he discusses recent developments in Chinese air power, as well as expanding first strike capabilities.
