US and India to increase defence trade, but F-35 deal unlikely
As India and the US continue to strengthen industrial and military ties, Andrew Shapiro, Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, has dismissed reports that the two will be collaborating on an F-35 procurement programme.
"This is not on the table right now. It has not been requested. We have not offered," Shapiro told the Defence Writers Group, according to the Economic Times.
