Raytheon has joined with Serco to bid for the Joint Military Air Traffic Services (JMATS) project, which is aimed at replacing the Watchman radars that are now 30 years old, as part of a new UK military air traffic control system. The other team likely to bid for a contract includes NATS Services, Thales UK and VT Group, known collectively as Aquila Air Traffic Management Services. This is not intended to be a PFI project.
