UK and France to Team for Anti-Surface Missile

The UK and French governments have announced the start of a joint assessment phase to develop systems and technologies for a new helicopter launched anti-surface missile to meet their respective Future Anti-Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW) and Anti-Navire Leger (ANL) requirements. Valued at GBP35 million (US$58 million), work will be undertaken through the Team Complex Weapons enabling contract placed with MBDA UK last year. Costs will be shared between the two nations.
