U.K. Opens Typhoon Support Centre

A Support, Maintenance and Training Centre for Royal Air Force Typhoon fighters was opened at RAF Coningsby on the 30th September. This is a joint industry/military establishment, with BAE Systems as the industry contractor, under a 5 year, £428 million ($685.6 million) contract. Under the terms of the contract, BAE has to provide ‘fit for purpose’ aircraft for the RAF on a daily basis.
