Eurocopter’s Tiger HAP attack helicopters are poised to make their combat debut, having arrived with French forces in Afghanistan at the end of July. Three of the French Army helicopters were crated up and flown out to Kabul’s Bagram air base, where they joined an advance party of 55 ground staff. They are to be reinforced at an unspecified later date by another six Tigers.
