At last year’s Military Airlift conference in London in September, leading experts met to discuss the future of strategic and tactical airlift, particularly focusing on the impact of the A400M.
The A400M transport plane is a €20 billion joint European programme funded by seven NATO members, including France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, Turkey and the UK. It is designed to act both as a tactical and strategic airlifter, as well as an air-to-air refuelling platform.
