Designed to increase the rotary-wing aircraft capability of the French Army’s Light Aviation, the ALAT (Aviation Lêgére de l'Armêe de Terre), the Ministry of Defence’s armament procurement organisation, the DGA (Direction Gênêrale de l’Armement), has awarded Airbus Helicopter and NH Industries (NHI) additional contracts for helicopters.
