France budgets for C-130 transport plane as A400M delays continue

The French ministry of defence has made provisions in its latest defence budget for the possible acquisition of four C-130 Hercules military transport planes from Lockheed Martin following on-going delays with a deal for the Airbus A400M.
"We have to address the problem presented to tactical air transport by the overuse of the Transall [the legacy C-160 platform used by France] and the problems over deliveries of the A400M," a defence ministry source told Reuters.
