Embraer, AgustaWestland talks break down. Brazil's helicopter market remains largely untapped

The on-going talks between Embraer and AgustaWestland about a joint venture to manufacture helicopters in Brazil have collapsed. Embraer, Brazil’s largest defence company and the third largest airplane manufacturer in the world, had hoped to team up with the Anglo-Italian helicopter maker after signing a memorandum of understanding last January.
