BAE’s Taranis Completes Phase 3 of Flight Tests

The third and final set of flight-tests for the BAE Systems-led Taranis Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator programme have been completed. Speaking at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London on December 9th, Nigel Whitehead, Group Managing Director of Programmes and Support, announced that the Taranis demonstrator had achieved all test objectives for 2015 and had contributed greatly to the group’s learning and technical understanding.
