The U.S. plans to spend billions of dollars on UAV research and procurement over the next 10 years, while Europe could spend over EUR1 billion on procurement and a similar (or possibly higher) amount on R&D. This market is forecast at more than $16 billion over the next 10 years. The share of the UAV market taken by UCAVs will grow as more of these vehicles transition from development into production.
