Chief of the Defence Staff Strategic Communication Officer Major General John Lorimer said:
"Two RAF aircraft struck at five multiple rocket launchers in the vicinity of Tripoli yesterday as part of NATO Operation Unified Protector.
"The Typhoon and Tornado jets targeted the launchers with Enhanced Paveway II and Paveway IV bombs as part of our mission to enforce United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973. By striking at these weapons RAF pilots have removed the ability of Colonel Qadhafi’s forces to use them to attack Libyan civilians."
